Our client, a premier employer in Business Services, is in need of Senior Accountants to join their team! This is an IMMEDIATE opportunity at their headquarters which is located in Monterey.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8 AM - 5 PM

Primary Duties:
-Prepare, review, and post journal entries to support the monthly close process.
-Review of financial reports to ensure the accuracy and clarity of information presented.
-Prepare selected balance sheet reconciliations, and analysis, to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
-Establish, interpret, and analyze complex accounting records to support strategic decision making and ensure compliance with GAAP.
Secondary Duties:
-Participate in the monthly review of financial package to ensure the accuracy of financial information and to assist in strategic decision making.
-Assist Manager with research related inquiries to support strategic decision making.
Required Experience:
-Advanced technical knowledge of US GAAP.
-Excellent MS Office Suite skills and advanced computer spreadsheet skills.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges.
-Attention to detail, quick learner and internally motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, and develop new skills.
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure, changing priorities and tight timelines/deadlines.
-Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information.
-Team player who can operate effectively within a matrix management environment
-Understand the concepts and terminology of insurance accounting.
Education and Experience
-Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Accounting.
-Position requires 3+ years of work experience in accounting.
