IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician at its facility in Modesto, CA.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
– A High School education or GED (required)
– Some minor electrical and plumbing experience, ability to operate hand and power tools safely, forklift experience, and a clean driving record (preferred)
– Strong attention to detail
– Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
– Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
– Strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently with minimal guidance
– Strong problem-solving skills
– Exhibit excellent attendance and flexibility to changing duties and work schedules
– Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
Maintenance Technician duties include: daily calibrations and quarterly verifications within the chemistry department, as needed maintenance on various systems around the laboratory (ceiling tiles, light bulbs, air filters); coordinating outside vendors (HVAC, refrigeration, electrical); maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment and instrumentation; and other duties as assigned by management.
The pay for this position starts at $18.33 - $22.00 hourly. Full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 6 paid holidays per year.
Applicants must be willing to work some shifts with overtime and some shifts on weekends.
