Senior Revenue Accountant

Description We are in search of a Senior Revenue Accountant who will be an integral part of our team in Milpitas, California. In this role, you will be tasked with various responsibilities such as revenue recognition, financial analysis, and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely revenue reporting and analysis to support our financial decision-making processes. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Ensure accurate and efficient processing of revenue close responsibilities, including preparation/review of revenue and contra revenue journal entries. Conduct reconciliations for balance sheet accounts related to revenue and ensure their accuracy. Generate precise and timely monthly and quarterly revenue reports. Perform reconciliations between various reporting tools and the general ledger. Compile comprehensive management reporting packages. Analyze disaggregated revenue data, such as revenue by top customers and geography. Conduct monthly and quarterly analytics to identify variances and assess the impact of business activities on revenue. Oversee the functionality and output of the revenue reporting system. Develop, implement, and maintain key accounting processes, policies, and internal controls. Coordinate audit requests for internal and external audits and ensure their timely completion. Work with various functional groups to enhance the quality of revenue data. Assist with various ad-hoc projects.Requirements Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a revenue accounting role or similar. Proficiency in ASC 606 is essential. Experience in revenue cycle processes is required. Ability to analyze revenues and interpret financial data. Proficiency in OBIEE and Oracle is needed. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with finance teams. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
