The successful candidate must possess experience working with enterprise applications such as Hyland OnBase (Electronic Form and Workflow), DocuSign, Salesforce (CRM), or MuleSoft (API). With a focus on software development in languages such as C#, Java, PHP, JavaScript, and SQL.As an applications programmer, you will work closely with three other developers and end-users across UCM business and academic enterprises. The role's central focus will be to design and implement strategies to elevate the user experience that help meet the mission and strategic vision of the organization. To further ensure success as an applications programmer, the candidate should exhibit advanced application architecture skills and extensive industry knowledge. An outstanding programmer analyst will be someone who can transform developmental needs into human-centered, intuitive, effective, and user-friendly digital experiences.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Development: Plans, designs, develop, modify, debugs, deploys and evaluates complex software for functional areas. Analyzes existing software or works to formulate logic for new complex systems and devises complex algorithms. Performs complex data analysis and tests / debugs complex software. Analyzes the design and use of complex data sources. Applies moderately complex programming security practices. Provides system level management for applications at the OS layer and above, manage and configure highly available applications using web servers, containers, caching, and other application technologies. Oversees the creation and maintenance of application help documentation.
  • Project Planning, Collaboration & Change Management: Negotiates, develops and executes moderately complex test plans. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Trains users in conversion and implementation of system. Performs complex data modeling, performance and integration testing and builds interfaces for a variety of internal and external constituents. Monitors and employs source code control techniques and configuration management for CI/CD.
  • Business Process Modeling & Digital Transformation: Works with campus partners and develop future state business processes and computing applications to transform the way they perform work. Performs process and application research with minimal direction, describes results in detailed documents or summarized presentations, and organizes them into features and user stories for Information Technology consumption. Transforms the paper based or legacy business processes into integrated and automated digital business processes.
  • LI-RM1Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in related area from an accredited university and 5+ years equivalent experience / training OR 9 total years equivalent experience/training.
    • Advanced knowledge of secure software development.
    • Highly advanced skills associated with software specification, design, modification, implementation and deployment of large-scale scope.
    • Excellent project leadership and management skills. Demonstrated ability to understand functional needs and how systems can support those needs. Demonstrated ability to develop conversion and system implementation plans.
    • Advanced experience with identification and use of code libraries and open-source forums.
    • Advanced experience with planning for deployment and creation of feedback mechanisms.
    • Demonstrated software repository skills.
    • Experience developing and executing complex test plans.
    • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
    • Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
    • Demonstrated complex problem- solving skills.
    • Experience with digital workflow solutions such as Hyland OnBase or similar.
    • Experience with system integration and data transfer via API, batch file, JDBC, or similar.
    • Understanding of business process mapping techniques and process streamlining (Preferred).
    • Understanding of agile/lean development processes (Preferred).
