Your Town Online is a local provider of high speed broadband internet, serving Mendocino county with wireless, dsl, and fiber-optic based services. Our well known affiliate companies, Willits Online and Pacific Internet, collectively serve thousands of end users and businesses.
We have a new opening for a technical support / customer service representative in our Ukiah office.
In this role, you will field phone calls, emails as well as direct facebook message support requests from our customers who seek technical support for their devices, as well as sales inquiries, billing payments and issues, and other customer needs. The essential skills include excellent general knowledge of computers and internet, experience with the configuration of common devices such as smartphones and laptops, wireless, modems/routers, knowledge of email and other common services.
While not required strictly for technical support, we are especially interested in candidates who posses or have a desire to learn advanced skills in networks, programming, telecommunications and other related fields and who desire the opportunity to grow into new roles and responsibilities commensurate with gained experience.
Starting wage is $18 - $26/hr, depending on prior experience, employment history, and demonstrable skills. We prefer local candidates who are settled in the local area and live within a reasonable distance of our business office.
