Pacific Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is looking for a dedicated person to be a camp cook at a well-established residential outdoor education center located at MacKerricher State Park in Mendocino County. Duties will include prepping, cooking, and cleaning for dinners during weekly programs. Current head cook will provide training, and there is potential for continued seasonal work during Spring and Fall seasons.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare & cook family-style dinners for a variety of group sizes (typically ranging from 20-60 individuals)
- Communicate with Executive Director, Head Cook, and Naturalist staff
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness & organization
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience in cooking
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
Tentative Timeline:
- Start around September 15th/20th
- 4 weeks of 3-4 day School Programming
- Potential for rehire for Spring Season (March-June 2026) and future Fall and Spring seasons
- Dinner Shift 4:30pm-7:00pm (exact times may slightly change)
