Job Title: Wilderness Retreat Center Steward
Job Description:
We are looking for a steward for the day-to-day operations of our Airbnb and wilderness retreat business.
The ideal candidate is a good communicator, service-oriented, hospitable, clean, very organized, and tidy. A respect for Christian values is required. Must speak and write good English.
Responsibilities:
Our steward will ensure our teachers, students, and visitors have the best experience possible in a wilderness environment. This role involves an active and engaging assortment of tasks, from cleaning and managing our cabins to maintaining the wilderness.
Our location is remote, so you must love an active outdoor lifestyle.
Social Tasks: assisting guests with check-in, answering questions, guest support (bringing supplies, fire building, helping set up retreats, etc.)
Physical Tasks: cleaning cabins, laundry, room turnover, quality maintenance, as well as assisting with animals and basic gardening/orchard care, and light trail maintenance. Walking and hiking is a part of the job.
Organizational Tasks: basic computer skills, editing documents, helping build systems (processes and procedures) to assist guests, taking inventory of supplies, taking photos & videos, documenting, etc.
Schedule:
Includes working weekends and evenings. Open to discussing the arrangement details to accommodate individual needs.
Offering:
$20 per hour. We provide on-site housing at our peaceful retreat center.
The active and dynamic nature of this role, immersed in nature, builds excellent fitness and physical health!
Accommodations: a private furnished converted trailer, outdoor kitchen and bathroom, Wifi.
Location: 7.5 miles off of HW101, 30 min south of Ukiah. Ideally, the candidate has their own vehicle as public transit is not available. (Although this is not required, as we can help with rides in and out of town).

Golden Cup Homestead is a non-profit, family-owned and operated homestead and retreat center in the wilderness of Northern California. We strive to develop a Judeo-Christian retreat center and a teaching homestead. We currently have a solid business for our 9 cabins that welcome guests, families, groups, and churches to this beautiful mountain terrain. Our property has a policy of no-substance usage (including tobacco, alcohol, and cannabis), and we require our employees to abide by this policy to maintain a healthy atmosphere.
