1. LEAD CABINET INSTALLER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Installation of Custom Cabinetry and Architectural Millwork. Installer will plan and carryout installations. Full-time position.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Fit and install high end cabinetry and architectural woodworking at highest level of quality and integrity
Bring all tools required for job in good working condition and insure borrowed tools and extra supplies are returned to shop in orderly fashion
Coordinate and assist with pick-ups/deliveries/installations
Participate in shop production/scheduling and job site meetings as required
Address inquires to/from job site Owners, Managers, Architects and Designers
Send in requests for plans, information, instructions, materials, supplies, special tooling
Schedule/coordinate time with cabinetmakers and project managers to see work while still at shop
Communicate schedule daily and sequence according to other trades schedules
Ensure installations/surrounding areas are covered and protected properly
Clean up worksite after each day
Fill out and submit timesheets daily
Complete jobs including punch-listing
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years minimum experience as installer of Cabinet and Architectural Millwork
Proficient in reading and comprehending shop drawings, architectural plans and written specifications of: hardware, appliances, lighting/electrical, plumbing, etc.
Ability to lay-out cabinets on-site and understand conditions
Knowledge of all cabinet making and installation tools/equipment and ability to use job specific tools to install cabinetry, hardware and trim
Proficient English communication skills - both written and verbal
Multitasker - must have ability to manage more than one project
Ability to adhere and adjust to job schedules and deadlines
Think proactively - take initiative - be part of the team
Must have transportation and smartphone installation projects are mainly on LA westside
2. LEAD CABINET MAKER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Lead cabinetmaker to build Custom Cabinetry and Architectural Millwork. Full-time position.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work in collaboration with Company Project Management team
Be informed about jobs schedule and expectations
Perform all aspects of contemporary and traditional cabinetmaking/woodworking
Operation of all standard woodworking equipment
Milling, machining, assembly, and detailing
Read plans, make cut-lists and fill out order forms
Assist with deliveries and installations as needed
Work both independently and as a member of shop team
Keep clean workspace at all times
Make sure before any deliveries are made that work is 100% complete
Must be available to communicate with installers
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years minimum experience as lead cabinet maker
Proficient English communication skills - both written and verbal
Knowledge of all cabinet making equipment, hardware and materials
Familiar working with solid wood, composites, and veneers
Must have knowledge of use and proper care of machinery and all hand/power tools
Must be proficient in reading and comprehending shop drawings and architectural plans
Knowledge of CNC operations beneficial
Ability to work as part of a team and multitask
Ability to adhere and adjust to job schedules and deadlines
Must have transportation and smartphone
3. DRAFTSMAN
JOB DESCRIPTION
Draftsman will prepare drawings and plans, liaise with builders, contractors, and production, planning and design teams. Full-time position.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work in collaboration with project management and production team
Knowledge of engineering principles, mathematics, building materials and construction techniques
Acquire information about each job: Client, Architect, Designer, GC, schedule, expectations, etc.
Follow Company drafting standards
Proactive when questions arise: inquire, call, send RFI’s as needed
Specify materials, finishes, hardware, lighting, etc.
Inform office if materials are not available, not suitable, etc.
Make sure dimensions are verified and accurate with Project Managers prior to issuing drawings for production. If necessary confirm for yourself
Participation in project layouts, field measuring, and creating necessary templates
Prepare complete material and hardware orders and submit with drawings when ready for production
Provide all back up information when submitting drawings for production: spec-sheers, photos, sketches, notes, etc.
Participate in weekly production / scheduling meetings at Shop
Update DropBox consistently: diligence required in keeping the office DropBox organized and current with all up-to-date information and drawings
Participate in all Company communication methods and systems
All outgoing emails must contain job name and item
All incoming emails must be answered professionally and courteously within 24 hours, and CC Managers
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years documented experience as a professional Draftsman and Cabinet Maker in the Custom Cabinetry and Architectural Millwork field
Experience working with Word Documents, DropBox, Google Docs, Excel
Proficient in AutoCAD and ability to learn and utilize other industry related softwares
Basic knowledge of CNC programming and operation
Proficient English communication skills - both written and verbal
Excellent problem-solving skills and multitasker with ability to manage more than one project
Ability to adhere and adjust to job schedules and deadlines
Think proactively - take initiative - be part of the team
Must have reliable transportation and be accessible by telephone during working hours
