Retail Construction Superintendent (California, TI Projects)
A small national commercial general contractor located in California seeks an experienced Working and/or Standing Superintendent for retail tenant improvement (TI) projects in strip malls and shopping centers. Projects include new builds and remodels.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage subcontractors, schedules, and inspections.
Oversee daily workflow and ensure projects stay on track
Update field reports from your phone on our pm software
Perform minimal carpentry and install fixtures/decor not covered by subcontractors.
Communicate with building inspectors and ensure code compliance.
Maintain a clean and safe project site
Requirements:
Retail construction experience required (submit past projects with resume).
Ability to read blueprints and city documents.
General trade knowledge, own tools, and reliable transportation.
Strong communication and some computer skills.
California work with the possibility of travel.
Typical projects run 6-10 weeks. Company phone provided or reimbursement available.
