We are looking for a mechanic for our busy shop. Pay is 1400-2000 a week depending on experience and skill level. We are looking for an experienced mechanic that enjoys working on without being "managed". We are ALWAYS busy. You will be paid salary. This is a team environment; everyone helps one another if needed. We are looking for good, clean work. We want nothing more than to give you a vehicle to work on and leave you alone to work.
To hopefully save us both time, for 1400-2000 a week you should be able to:
1. Replace timing chains on 8-cylinder vehicles.
2. Beat book time the majority of the time.
3. You have replaced more parts than you can count. Example, you should have replaced hundreds and hundreds of ball joints, not 8 of them.
4. You don't have to borrow tools all the time. The amount of mechanics that have had their tools "stolen" is astonishing.
You will be paid on time, every week, without question. During the holidays, we pretty much shut down. In 2024 we had 11 out of 14 days off, paid. In addition, you start out at 1 week paid vacation. We want loyalty, and in return you will be treated right. This isn't a corporate store. I understand your kid got sick and you had to take off. I'm not going to dock your pay. If you stay a little late, consider that we are lenient with you and your life. We will go over your performance after 90 days and you'll get a bump or stay where you're at with advice on what to do to improve.
If you have 2,000 dollars in tools, don't apply. You need a minimum of 20k in tools. If you're a hack job mechanic and bounce around from shop to shop, don't apply, you will be fired quickly. This is NOT a position for someone with 3 years' experience.
