JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Sales Manager facilitates and oversees sales orders and is a primary point of contact with clients as well as gallery artists and designers.
This job is suited to someone who is a good communicator and extremely organized and conscientious of follow through.
The workload is approximately 40% communication (emails as well as in-person meetings with clients), 60% administrative (processing orders and other administrative tasks).
Pay structure is base salary of $50,000 plus commission on gallery sales = $70,000-$90,000 depending on sales performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales:
Interact with clients, both in person and via email and website, to facilitate and close sales, and follow through with any customer service issues post-sale.
Order Management:
Oversee order processing administrative tasks and interact with gallery designers and artists to ensure accurate and timely processing of orders.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in sales is preferred, preferably in a luxury or arts related environment.
Excellent communication skills are required, both verbal and written.
Excellent problem-solving skills are required, including the ability to discover problems and implement appropriate solutions without needing oversight and guidance (in other words, a good capacity for critical thinking, autonomy, and leadership).
Touch typing with a decent WPM is mandatory.
Must be PC Windows literate.
Must have the ability to maintain good mental focus through a typical workday.
Must have a strong sense of ethical behavior and moral integrity.
