Jasmine Elaine Showroom (DTLA) is hiring a talented and creative Assistant Designer to join our team. As an Assistant Designer, you will part of our design team to assist in the creation and development of new products. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about fashion and design.

Must Have a portfolio of latest work
Must physically be willing to work in person.
Must be highly productive, efficient, proactive, organized, detail oriented and able to multi task.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in design or a related field is required.
A strong portfolio showcasing previous work. The portfolio should demonstrate your skills, creativity, and ability to translate ideas into visually compelling designs.
Understanding of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the specific field of design.
Ability to generate fresh ideas, explore different design concepts, and push the boundaries of conventional thinking is highly valued.
Be able to think creatively, generate innovative concepts, and effectively address design challenges.
Skilled in programs such as Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other relevant software depending on the specific field of design.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design team to develop new product concepts and designs
- Assist in creating technical sketches and CAD drawings
- Conduct research on current fashion trends, colors, and styles
- Assist in fabric sourcing and selection
- Support the design team in garment construction and fitting sessions
- Assist with product management tasks such as organizing samples and maintaining design files
- Collaborate with other departments, such as graphic design, to ensure cohesive brand messaging
- Help with fashion styling for photoshoots and presentations
Requirements:
- Strong Technical Design Skills
- Tech Pack Experience
- Industry experience working in fashion/ garment design
- Knowledge of color theory and fashion styling
- Proficiency in CAD software and Adobe Illustrator
- Understanding of garment construction techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a team
- Knowledge of graphic design principles is a plus
