NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, but it is definitely a plus. We are happy to train you and teach you everything you need to know about being an outstanding legal assistant. We handle personal injury cases only (mostly car accidents). If you speak spanish, that is a big plus.

You will also be responsible for picking up police reports and going to the post office a couple of times per week. It is important that you are a safe and responsible driver and have a good driving record.
We work in the office. Working from home/remotely is rarely permitted. It is only permitted under exceptional circumstances for a limited amount of time.
JOB DUTIES
Open insurance claims
Draft demand letters
Handle property damage claims (setup car rentals, demand payment, etc.)
Negotiate value of the car
Organize files
Talk to potential and existing clients (in-person, over the phone, e-mail, letters)
Talk to doctor’s offices (in-person, over the phone, e-mail, letters)
Answer the phone nicely

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Honest, reliable, easy to work with, and friendly
Highly motivated and ambitious
Organized, detail-oriented, thorough, and requires minimal supervision (once you know what needs to be done)
Excellent communication and phone skills
Great writing skills (coherent, concise, and correct)
Eager to learn
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
Typing speed of at least 50 wpm
