Performs bench-type processes to complete wire harnesses using hand tools and electric tooling as required per the following procedures:
Measuring with Inspection Tools
Wire Cutting
Wire Twisting Operation
Crimping Operation
Soldering Operation
Splicing Operation
Inserting Operation
Breakout Operation
Electrical Test Operation
Convoluted Tubing Operation
Labeling Operation
Grease Operation
Packing Operation
In-process Inspection
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
Prototype / Low volume wire harnesses or production harnesses and train employees
Performing assembly and sub-assembly per work order/print instructions using applicable tools.
Ability to distinguish colors; color vision.
Ability to develop and follow procedures.
Ability to follow production traveler.
Ability to read and understand blue prints.
Ability to perform general assembly.
Ability to handle and work with small objects / parts /tools
Ability to lift, push and pull from 1-25 lbs. unassisted.
Ability to read/interpret metric systems
Have a basic understanding of electrical components and their function,
Ability to frequently sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is also required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to maintain regular attendance, punctuality and dependability.
Ability to use rulers, calipers, fixtures to make accurate measurements
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma/ or GED
Min. 5 years’ experience with crimped / soldered aerospace wire harnesses.
Microsoft Excel/Word helpful
Use of hand tools
Must be fluent in English
Company willing to provide training
Work Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
