We are in search of a Warehouse Associate I for our location in Covina, CA
Summary:
The Warehouse Associate I supports warehouse operations including but not limited to shipping and receiving, order tracking and fulfillment, material handling, inventory and record keeping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Responsible for Shipping/ Receiving/Driving/VI Customers
Moving, inspecting, and packing products; labeling and boxing products prior to shipping
Helping to complete shipments, process, and load orders
Preventing on-the-job injuries by maintaining safety best practices across all areas of the operation
Inventory maintenance – continually stocking/unstocking shelves
Clerical Duties (filing, answering phones, maintain shipping documents in orderly fashion
Maintain stock locations within PENCOM and at customer VI’s
Customer kitting and assembly if required
Forklift operation
Drive company vehicle
Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice by management
Key Tasks
Review, Inspect & Receive in-coming product
Complete inspection report for non-conforming product
Report con-conforming product to Management or Buyer
Utilizing the Shipping Management Report or directions from Supervisor, ship product to customer
Run daily report for VI customer current stock levels and replenish as needed
Inform Buyer or Management of any parts that are running low and need to be ordered
Drive personal or company vehicle to customer for VI replenishment
Pick-up product or supplies from local Vendors
Maintain the warehouse (sweep, dispose of trash and any other task set forth)
Assists with inventory prep, dead stock movement, cleaning shelves, moving inventory, etc.
Assists with monthly inventory Audits, locations, and quantities
Assist with any other tasks as needed
Visual Inventory (VI) Specialist
Prepares delivery shipments for Key VI Customers
Delivers VI Shipments into Customer plants
Calibrates and sets VI sensors on site at customer as required
Monitors all new parts at customer and knows their product and uses
Reports to Branch Manager when a part is low and needs to be re-ordered.
Communicates and discusses all the above information with the Warehouse Manager
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Must be a team player and self-motivated
Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
Demonstrated customer service, phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
Ability to carry heavy loads (repetitive lifting, bending & stooping) and have the stamina to remain standing for long periods of time
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
Demonstrated safety mindset is essential
Must be detailed orientated to meet deadlines
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
Experience/Education Required:
HS Diploma and/or equivalent education
Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse position preferred
Valid forklift certification is a plus
Valid driver license is required
