Admiral Refrigeration manufactures and installs Luxury walk-in coolers for the high end residential homes. In addition the company fabricates and installs commercial refrigeration rack systems for the food service industry. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the production process by assisting with various tasks that ensure the efficient operation of our shop. This position requires a hands-on approach and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
Responsibilities
Assist in the assembly of products on the assembly line, ensuring quality standards are met.
Working in the shop dry-fitting walk-in coolers for residential application.
Utilize hand tools and power tools for fabrication and assembly tasks.
Operate forklifts to move materials and products safely within the warehouse.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve production efficiency.
Perform basic mechanical tasks as needed, demonstrating mechanical knowledge in various applications.
Support inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages.
Working diligently to stay on track with shipping schedule
Skills
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for fabrication and assembly tasks.
Experience working in a warehouse or factory environment is preferred.
Familiarity with operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
Ability to work effectively on an assembly line, maintaining focus and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork.
A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to changing work environments.
