We are looking for a shipping associate to work out of our Santa Fe Springs location.
This is a full-time position, and our business hours are Monday through Friday: 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
There is a 90 day probationary period for this position. After your 90 day probationary period, you will have a performance review, and pending that review, you maybe be transitioned to a full-time status.
The Shipping Associate is responsible for daily client order fulfillment operations in the shipping department. Communicates with sales, billing and management personnel to ensure timely fulfilment of client orders.
Our ideal candidate is focused, hardworking and demonstrates integrity in everything they do during their workday. They have one to three years in a warehouse environment, have a current or expired forklift license, can lift 65 pounds and adhere to CAL Osha safety standards.
Tasks
Build and pack orders to Gorlitz standards
Communicate inventory and supply needs to Supervisor
Communicate backorder status to sales team as needed
Keep stock of packing materials and anticipate replenishment of packing supplies
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Assists with loading and unloading of machines brought in for repair
Documents actions by completing supplied forms
Assists with unloading incoming shipments/orders if Foreman/Inventory Lead is unavailable
Inspects forklift every morning
Assist with order verification for will call orders as requested/ needed
Keep shipping mistakes to a minimum/nonexistent
Qualifications and Requirements
1-3 years of Experience in a warehouse setting
Possess physical fitness, strength, and good reflexes.
A high school diploma or equivalent
