Job Description:
As a Pre-weight Technician in our skincare manufacturing facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our production process. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately measure and prepare raw materials for use in the manufacturing of skincare products. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Raw Material Preparation:
- Receive and review production schedules to determine raw material requirements.
- Retrieve raw materials from designated storage areas.
- Accurately measure and weigh raw materials according to specified formulations and recipes.
- Ensure proper labeling and identification of materials to prevent errors.
2. Equipment Operation:
- Operate weighing scales, mixers, and other equipment used in the pre-weighing process.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment setup, operation, and cleaning.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
3. Quality Control:
- Conduct visual inspections of raw materials for signs of contamination or damage.
- Report any quality issues or discrepancies to the production supervisor.
- Adhere to strict quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the pre-weighing process.
4. Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of raw material inventory levels.
- Monitor usage rates and reorder points to prevent stockouts.
- Assist with periodic physical inventory counts as needed.
5. Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in training programs related to safety, quality, and job-specific skills.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in chemistry, biology, or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the skincare or cosmetics industry.
- Familiarity with weighing and measurement techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using weighing scales and measurement tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
