Job title: Machine Maintenance and Repair Technician
Automotive parts manufacturing company in Sun Valley, CA is hiring for industrial mechanics.
We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic.
Duties will include troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Preventive maintenance and repair of wiring, electrical circuits, and conveyer belts.
-Must have general knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, power tools, plumbing
-Perform repairs, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment to ensure continuous production operations
-Comply with all safety rules and regulations
-Oversee the routine facility maintenance – pumps, lighting, compressors, ovens, production equipment.
-Respond to maintenance calls and help to complete a repair that has already been started.
-Inspect machines, develop repair lists, and identify short-term and long-term repairs so that machines run correctly.
Requirements & Education:
Must have professional technical experience which includes experience in diagnosing and performing mechanical systems repair, electrical systems repair, and routine preventative maintenance.
Ability to draw and read electrical and hydraulic schematics and diagrams.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, customers, management and respond to instructions/assignments.
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Ability to recommend, order, receive, and install replacement parts on a variety of equipment.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a manual labor position requiring the employee to spend approximately 10 hours per day in a shop environment. They will be walking and standing for extended periods reaching with hands and arms operating equipment, occasionally required to sit, crouch, and kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus. The position involves lifting 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm (Four, 10 hour shifts, 40 hours per week)
Preferred Experience & Skills:
1 year or more of industrial mechanic experience
Experience with 240v, and 480v 3 phase AC electrical wiring and repair
MIG & TIG Welding & Fabricating Experience
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
