CNC Machine Operator – Manufacturing (Temporary 3-Month Role with Full-Time Potential)

Overview
Sonoma Industries, Inc. is a small, family-owned CNC turning and milling machine shop specializing in precision machining for aerospace and industrial applications. We are seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves monitoring CNC machines, operating milling machines and Swiss CNC machines, performing deburring, polishing, cleaning, blowing, inspecting, and packaging parts to ensure the highest quality standards. This is a temporary 3-month position with the potential to become full-time based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor CNC machines, ensuring smooth operation and production efficiency.
- Operate milling machines and Swiss CNC machines for precision machining.
- Deburr, polish, clean, and blow parts to meet quality and finish specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure accurate part production.
- Conduct detailed inspections to verify parts meet tolerances required
- Package and label finished components for shipping and storage. (can be trained)
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and machines are in good condition.
- Track production progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Experience monitoring CNC machines, operating milling machines, and Swiss CNC machines.
- Good blueprint reading skills and ability to use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Knowledge of deburring, polishing, cleaning, and blowing machined parts (can be trained)
- Attention to detail and strong commitment to precision and quality assurance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Small, family-owned business with a hands-on team environment.
- Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts (No weekends required, but overtime may be available).
- Temporary position (3 months) – opportunity for full-time conversion based on performance.
- On-site role in Bell Gardens, CA.
