POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a part-time or full-time studio assistant to play a vital role in our production team. In this role, you'll assist with day-to-day production and operations. To be successful in this role, this individual must demonstrate a high level of organization skills,, willingness to learn, general understanding of ceramic materials and process and be a strong team player.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Loading and unloading kilns
Prepping/wedging/slab rolling clay for production projects
General studio cleaning and upkeep
Manage studio storage organization, safely storing glazes and inventory
Glazing products
Assist on projects
Preparing glazes
Other job-related duties and ad hoc projects as necessary
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with glazing, loading, and unloading kilns; previous studio experience
Independent, disciplined, and efficient with time management.
Flexible, easy-going, and positive demeanor
Strong organizational skills
Self-motivated
Minor background in ceramics
Strong work ethic and comfortable with the repetition of production work
Ability to use independent judgment when making necessary recommendations or adjustments to complete project or task at hand
Self-directed, dependable, energetic, highly motivated, and outcome-oriented
Time management and the ability to work to deadlines
Ability to pivot quickly jump from project to project based on studio needs
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with all personality types and behaviors, flexibility
Be a team player and self-starter, willing to take the initiative and provide ideas for solutions or improvements
.Exhibits a willingness to learn and adapt, is flexible to change, and open to trying new approaches or processes
Strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail,and a passion for home goods
Ability to work flexible hours or days to meet the needs of the business as necessary
