About Us:

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing holistic services to the community. Our new office space serves as a hub for these services and a venue for artistic and cultural engagement. We plan to host 2-3 art exhibits annually and are seeking a passionate and experienced Art Curator to bring these exhibitions to life.

Scope of Services:

The Art Curator will be responsible for the following:

Artist Collaboration:

-Identify and contact artists to secure artwork for exhibitions.

-Curate and select pieces that align with the exhibition’s theme and goals.

Exhibition Management:

-Plan, coordinate, and execute exhibit showings.

-Design the layout and oversee the transportation and installation of artwork.

-Coordinate opening and closing events, including receptions or artist talks.

Marketing and Promotion:

-Develop promotional materials and campaigns (e.g., social media, flyers) to engage the community and drive attendance.

Artwork Care:

-Ensure proper care and handling of artwork during all phases of the exhibition.

Compensation:

The Art Curator will receive:

-Commission based on exhibition sales, as agreed upon.

-Expense Reimbursement: Pre-approved expenses (e.g., travel, materials, or venue costs) will be reimbursed upon submission of valid receipts.

Responsibilities:

-Perform all duties independently, professionally, and in a timely manner.

-Regularly communicate with the organization regarding progress and key decisions.

-Handle all artwork with care and adhere to venue guidelines.

-Provide timely feedback and approvals for key exhibition decisions (e.g., artist selection, layout design).

Qualifications:

-Proven experience as an art curator or in a related role.

-Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

-Knowledge of exhibition design and best practices in artwork handling.
