About Us:
We are a dynamic and growing real estate investment and property management firm seeking a highly organized and proactive Paralegal or Legal Assistant with experience in real estate law. Our team handles a variety of legal matters, including evictions, acquisitions, leasing, and civil real estate disputes. This position offers the opportunity to play a vital role in managing legal processes related to our property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage documents related to evictions, including notices, unlawful detainer filings, and court submissions
Review and organize contracts, leases, and title documents
Assist with civil real estate litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and filing legal documents
Coordinate with outside counsel, property managers, and internal teams on case updates and legal timelines
Maintain and organize legal files, correspondence, and case calendars
Conduct legal research related to real estate and landlord/tenant laws as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in real estate law
Strong knowledge of eviction processes, particularly in California (or specify your state)
Familiarity with civil litigation procedures and court filings
Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems
Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with property management or real estate firms
Bilingual (Spanish or Tagalog) is a plus
Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal education is preferred but not required
