Law Office in Pasadena is seeking an experienced Paralegal with strengths in Family Law and Probate. The position is for those who would like to work in a remote setting on a project basis. Compensation will be discussed during the interview. Interviews will be held virtually.
Duties include:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a beneficial but not necessary;
- Preparation of Summons, Petitions, Declarations Under UCCJEA, Responses to Petition;
- Preparation of Requests for Order and Responsive Declarations to Request for Order;
- Preparing and responding to Discovery;
- Preparation of Preliminary Declaration of Disclosure;
- Preparation of legal forms and files;
- Drafting letters to clients and opposing counsel; and
- Significant client contact.
Qualifications:
- Have own computer and working internet;
- Able to work with minimal direction after initial orientation;
- Computer skills (Outlook, MS Word, Word Perfect);
- Great communication skills;
- Detail-oriented;
- Strong work ethic; and
- Great attitude under pressure.
