Jr. Assocaite Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

Small busy Plaintiff personal injury law firm seeking sharp aggressive litigation attorney with some experience from pre litigation through litigation and trial, to handle/manage his/her own caseload of approx. 40-60 files, valued at under 50k each. Responsibilities will include but not be limited too: reviewing files, evaluating cases, negotiating settlements, communicating with clients, defense counsel, adjusters, and medical providers. Also to review pleadings, and to propound written discovery and respond to written discovery, independently. Attending court conferences, hearings, status conferences, case management conferences, and OSC's and TSC's etc. Defending depositions and preparing clients for depositions. Taking depositions occasionally. Preparing mediation briefs and attending and mediating cases. Preparing pleadings, research, and preparing trial documents occasionally. Great working environment. Great opportunity to learn the business and practice of plaintiff personal injury litigation. All State Bar dues, and memberships in CAALA, CAOC, and other trial lawyers associations paid for, including MCLE. Must be an extremely good writer, and efficient with time, and be self motivated and self managing. Must be extremely organized and driven. Must be a hard driven worker who gets it, and likes helping people and fighting for the little guy against the insurance industry. Must be a team player.
