Positions: Shipping Supervisor
Seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and organized Shipping Supervisor to manage the daily shipping operations within the cold storage facility that handles fresh flowers. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience in a fast-paced, temperature-sensitive environment. This role is critical to ensure that all flower shipments are processed, handled, and delivered with accuracy, efficiency, and the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise warehouse personnel and assign daily tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor cold storage (cooler) conditions to ensure optimal preservation of fresh flowers.
Oversee and enforce the proper rotation of perishable inventory.
Dispatch daily orders with precision and efficiency.
Ensure that all incoming and outgoing orders are scanned and accounted for in the system.
Receive transfers from Miami, review, and scan all associated documentation and direct guides.
Conduct regular audits of transfers for completeness and accuracy.
Sort and organize incoming dry flowers by client and purchase order (PO).
Organize Wet Pack’s (processed) flowers based on clients and PO, ensuring delivery schedules and truck priorities are followed.
Supervise the scanning and verification of all shipments in the warehouse system.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment according to 5S principles.
Enforce daily safety procedures for equipment use, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and precooling units.
Identify and report equipment or plant issues needing maintenance attention through the company’s reporting system.
Respond to emails in a timely manner regarding scheduling, transfer receipts, and final deliveries to customers.
Promote a safety-first culture by ensuring adherence to safety regulations and promptly reporting any incidents.
Requirements:
Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. / Previous supervisory and leader experience.
Able to manage a team of 10+ employees. / Proven ability to lead and motivate a team towards achieving operational goals.
Comfortable working in cold environments (approximately 34°F )
Able to lifting 50 lbs. and standing/walking for extended periods.
Computer literacy, excel, and warehouse scanning and inventory systems. / Strong Organizational and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic, and fast environment during peak seasons.
Pay rate:
$22.00
Schedule & Availability:
3pm to 11:30pm + Overtime and weekends as needed.
Full-time position - Flexible schedule, including weekends or early/late shifts as needed to meet shipping demands. Availability for extended hours during peak seasons, including
