About the Position:
We are looking for a full-time Senior Maintenance Technician for our thriving, 255 unit apartment community in Burbank, CA. This position requires on-site residency. A one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit is included.
The Apartment Maintenance Technician will oversee property upkeep, from curb appeal and service requests to apartment turnovers and preventative maintenance, while collaborating with vendors and team members.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartment buildings and grounds.
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, including leaky faucets, clogged drains, and running toilets. Install and maintain water heaters, pipes, and fixtures. Conduct preventative plumbing maintenance.
Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems, outlets, and circuit breakers. Replace light fixtures, switches, and outlets as needed. Install and maintain electrical appliances and equipment in residential or commercial settings.
Maintains & repairs the apartment building’s HVAC equipment.
Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and property management staff in a timely and professional manner.
Conduct regular inspections of common areas to identify and address maintenance issues.
Manage apartment turnovers and prepare units for new residents.
Adhere to safety protocols for handling hazardous materials and maintaining a clean work environment.
Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the Property Manager or Supervisor.
Perform other related maintenance duties as assigned by the Property Manager or Supervisor.
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of residential maintenance experience within a property of at least 250+ units is required.
Working knowledge and ability to recognize repair requirements for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, welding, and grounds upkeeping.
Certification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical work or appliance repair.
Reliable transportation and a valid California Driver's license required for property visits.
Availability for on-call emergencies during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with residents and vendors.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Apartment Maintenance Technician will work primarily indoors and outdoors and will be exposed to various weather conditions.
Frequently move/traverse, ascend/descend stairs in/around apartment homes and community
Constantly positions self to bend, stoop, reach, lift
Occasionally lift/move/carry up to 25lbs with/without assistance
Frequently lift/move/carry 5lbs
Constantly communicate, converse and exchange information with coworkers, vendors, residents and visitors
Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
Ability to work in confined spaces or heights.
Ability to climb ladders, and work with arms raised overhead.
