School Maintenance Technician
$35/hour DOE plus paid overtime, excellent benefits, generous PTO

A well-established private school is seeking a reliable maintenance person with a broad skillset to join the facilities team. This individual will assist with a variety of tasks, including janitorial, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general handyman work to ensure the upkeep of the school's buildings and grounds. Flexibility and a team-oriented attitude are essential, as well as the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
-Perform daily cleaning tasks, including trash collection and floor care.
-Complete maintenance requests such as minor plumbing repairs, electrical work, and assembling furniture.
-Set up for school events, including building stage platforms, setting up chairs, and pressure washing the campus.
-Maintain and repair campus buildings and structures, including carpentry and minor renovation tasks.
-Use tools and equipment for maintenance work (e.g., leaf blower, ladders, power tools).
-Assist with emergency calls, deliveries, and other facility-related tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
-Experience in janitorial services and general maintenance tasks.
-Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
-Customer service orientation.
-Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb stairs.
-Experience with carpentry, light electrical, plumbing, and general handyman skills.
-Ability to assemble furniture and perform basic repairs (locker, door, window).
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, typically 6:00 am to 3:00 pm or 6:30 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional overtime on evenings and weekends for school events.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly rate: $35-40/hr, based on experience
