Job Description: Sanitation Technician is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of production equipment, facilities, and workspaces during the overnight shift. Reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor, this position plays a crucial role in upholding food safety standards and regulatory compliance, particularly in the production of flavorings for Monster Energy drinks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a sanitary environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Equipment Cleaning: Disassemble, clean, and sanitize production equipment, including mixers, tanks, piping, and other machinery, according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and sanitation protocols.

2. Facility Sanitation: Clean and sanitize production areas, floors, walls, and ceilings using approved cleaning agents and techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

3. Waste Disposal: Dispose of waste materials, including cleaning chemicals, wastewater, and solid waste, in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.

4. Chemical Handling: Handle and dilute cleaning chemicals safely and accurately, following proper procedures and precautions to protect personal safety and prevent damage to equipment or facilities.

5. Inspection and Documentation: Conduct visual inspections of equipment and facilities to identify any sanitation issues or maintenance needs. Complete sanitation logs and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

6. Pest Control: Monitor for signs of pests and implement pest control measures as needed to prevent infestations and maintain a pest-free environment.

7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper handling and storage guidelines for chemicals and cleaning supplies.

8. Collaboration: Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to schedule sanitation activities and minimize downtime. Communicate any sanitation-related concerns or issues to supervisors or relevant personnel.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in sanitation or food safety preferred.

Previous experience in sanitation or janitorial work, preferably in a food manufacturing or beverage industry setting.

Knowledge of sanitation practices, including cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and pest control.

Understanding of food safety regulations, such as FDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Physical stamina and ability to lift/move heavy objects and work in standing or kneeling positions for extended periods.

Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday (some Saturday’s),

3rd Shift 10pm-6:30am

Pay: $19hr.
