An established property management company with over 55 years in the industry has an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team.
This position supports the maintenance needs of 225 apartment units across three adjacent properties, allowing for shared resources and efficient coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience in property maintenance and a strong ability to complete unit turnovers and general repair tasks.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform daily maintenance tasks across three neighboring properties totaling 225 units.
Prepare units for turnover including painting, lock repair/replacement, general cleaning, and minor repairs.
Diagnose and address plumbing issues—installing fixtures, repairing leaks, and resolving minor backups.
Handle basic electrical tasks such as installing outlets, switches, ceiling fans, and light fixtures.
Repair and install garbage disposals, windows, screens, and doors.
Assist with basic carpentry and collaborate with third-party vendors as needed.
Ensure grounds and common areas remain clean and safe.
Respond to work orders and maintain documentation using basic email and online tools.
Requirements
3+ years of hands-on experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in multi-family housing.
Strong general maintenance and repair knowledge.
Experience with plumbing required; basic electrical and carpentry skills strongly preferred.
Ability to work independently across multiple buildings, while coordinating with team members.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate basic tools and power equipment.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Basic computer skills, especially for email and online work order systems.
Availability for emergency on-call rotation.
