We are offering a deeply discounted rent for helping out one, very kind, elderly female (90 years old) one day a week for reduced rent, in her calm peaceful inner city apartment. Your room would be in the rear of the apartment offering the most privacy. The apartment is generally very quiet with zero drama, and granny will always say hello when you walk by :) super sweet. One other female caregiver lives at the apartment in her own room at the front of the apartment.
This is a senior living home which allows caregivers to live for reduced rent. The availability of the room is contingent upon you helping the elderly tenant. We would prefer someone that has cared for an elderly person in the past, due to the nature of the living situation, any experience is useful.
Room is 150 sq feet. We have one empty room available for a caregiver and the rent is reduced from $1400.00 to $700.00 for providing one 24 hour shift of LIVE-IN care every SUNDAY. And very limited help around the house during the week, such as watching granny for a few minutes while the main caregiver unloads groceries from her car for a few minutes. All utilities are included.
Room for rent is in the home of elderly (89 year old female tenant), the home maintains two female caregivers that help with house tasks and each has their own room.
FACILITIES
You share the kitchen and bathroom with the other caregivers who provides care other six days a week. The apartment owner covers things like soap, toilet paper, cleaning supplies. Kitchen tools like plates and pots are also free to use.
CLEANING
Housekeeping is done by the main caregiver. You just need to clean up after yourself.
PARKING
Parking space, there is a parking space which belongs to the senior’s daughter. You are allowed to use it because she and other caregivers usually parked on the street.
HELPING OUT
Senior does not leave the house and you will be in the home in Sundays. On Sundays senior generally, needs help getting to the bathroom and handling female hygiene after using the restroom. Caregivers respond to a bed alarm when she gets up at night. Also the senior gets help on her walk around the block (uses a walker), and needs to be given her medication and meals. She sleeps about 14 hours per day. Also you need to know how to take blood pressure with handheld blood pressure monitor. So please let us know your experience.
The rent is reduced for helping elderly tenant. We are looking for someone that will provide MATURE and ATTENTIVE assistance to an elderly tenant, one day a week on SUNDAY. You must be available on SUNDAY, and your availability must be consistent.
Terms

5) No drugs and no overnight guests, this is a caregiving home with another female caregiver actively working. LA County Social workers and nurses visit often.
