QUALIFICATIONS:

iSCORE (PM&R/Pain Management office) is looking for dependable and professional candidates with BLS certification issued by AHA, a CA State Limited X-ray Technician Permit (MUST INCLUDE/COVER DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY, CHEST, EXTREMITIES, SKULL, AND TORSO-SKELETAL), successful completion of a limited X-Ray Technician program, and a High School Diploma

The ability to multi-task, excellent customer service skills, great communication skills, medical terminology knowledge, computer skills, and the ability to lift 25 lbs are also a must!

Recent externship or minimum 6 months of experience in Medical Office and X-Ray procedures

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform high quality digital X-ray exams on incoming patients (within the legal scope of your license).

Guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns

Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action

Respond to physician questions regarding exams

Answer phones and greet incoming patients and visitors

Register patients, perform insurance verification, and collect co-pays

Coordinate with office staff for timely care of patients

NEED TO travel to our nearby centers (Arcadia, Glendale, and others) to receive training and/or help with coverage

Participate in various projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management

When no x-ray patients, the tech will need to function similar to a medical assistant in the office (separate description, please ask employer on interview).

Casting experience a plus

Preparing patients for diagnostic imaging exams

Taking medical histories

Take and process X-rays, following proper techniques and protocols

Positioning radiographic equipment

Adjusting controls on x-ray machine

Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining medical records

Assist healthcare providers with patient exams and procedures

Prepare and maintain examination rooms and equipment

Communicate results and images to healthcare providers

Maintain equipment and supplies inventory

Follow HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines

Contact other facilities to obtain images and reports

Update imaging studies (xray, ultrasound, and etc) into PACS

Uploading or Downloading images to a CD or flash drive for subpeonas

Helping the medical assistants/clinical assistants with any patients

Purging documents between patients when time permits

Pay Range: Depends on experience and discussed in interview (Starting at $25/hour)
