Asian/Hispanic supermarket seeking director/grocery store manager. Experience is a must. You will be in charge of the following:
- Setting and enforcing store policies: You are expected create and communicate the market's policies to staff and ensure policies are being properly followed. This ranges from customer service standards to health and safety compliance.
- Financial performance: You will monitor and will be expected to know the store's overall financial performance. You will monitor sales targets, profit margins, payroll expenses and cash flow. Reports due to accountants and owner routinely and/or as requested.
- Hiring and training staff: Hire new employees for the store, conduct performance reviews, identify training needs and ensure all staff are properly trained to perform their roles.
- Inventory management: You will oversee the store's entire inventory to ensure the right products are stocked and that stock levels are properly maintained. This may include ordering new inventory and rotating stock.
- Customer service and experience: You will be responsible for the overall customer experience at the store, ensuring customers can easily find what they need and that staff are providing a high level of customer service. You will be expected to handle customer issues and complaints.
- Facilities management: You will oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the store, equipment functionality and compliance with health and safety standards. This includes managing relationships with vendors and contractors.
Your role requires knowledge and expertise across the entire operation of the supermarket business.
Bilingual in Chinese Mandarin and/or Spanish highly desired, but not a deal breaker.
