The Morning Prep Cook is responsible for preparing and organizing all necessary ingredients and equipment for the day's service, ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. This includes but is not limited to chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, portioning ingredients, and stocking workstations. The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to quality and consistency.
Responsibilities:
Arrive early and prepared to begin work promptly.
Prepare and portion all necessary ingredients according to standardized recipes and procedures.
Wash, peel, chop, and prepare fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients.
Prepare sauces, dressings, marinades, and other components as needed.
Stock and organize workstations with necessary ingredients and supplies.
Ensure all food is stored and labeled properly, following food safety guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to sanitation standards.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., slicers, mixers, food processors).
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed.
Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
