Emmi's in Sierra Madre is looking for a part time (potentially full time) line/prep cook to join our team. We are looking for someone who can work a morning into afternoon shift on the weekends specifically.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare food items according to the restaurant’s menu and recipes.
-Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment.
-Maintain inventory and ensure that all ingredients and supplies are stocked and organized.
-Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
-Ensure that all food items are cooked to order and meet quality standards.
-Assist with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment.
-Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, hygiene, and food handling.
-Flexibility to work every station within the kitchen.
Candidates will possess the following qualifications:
-1-2 years of experience as a line cook in a restaurant setting (preferred).
-Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
-Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and menu specifications.
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
-Flexibility to work early morning, evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.
-ServSafe Certified or equivalent
