Looking for experienced and reliable line cook for Irish pub in Downtown Newhall. 5 days a week. Early afternoon to pm hours available. Latest shift would end by 10-10:30pm. Must be a team player, and display a positive attitude at all times. Must have current food handlers card, and make a photocopy to keep on file.
Responsibilities:
Prepare items following house recipes, in a timely manner.
Practice safe food handling practices, regularly checking temperatures, and advising management of any equipment not working properly.
Keep and maintain a clean and safe work area. Complete closing check list every night.
Practice good personal hygiene. Clothes must be clean, hair clean and tied back, and in a hat. Nails short and clean.
Put away incoming orders following "First in, First out" protocol. Label all prepared items. Pay attention to expiration dates on labels, and discard if necessary and maintain waste log.
Cool down and label dishes, following health dept protocol.
Make sure that prep list is updated at closing every night. Communicate to manager if we have run out of an ingredient.
