Iconic Damon’s Steakhouse in Glendale is looking for an experienced part time dinner floor manager/supervisor.

Damon’s Steakhouse has been in business since 1937. We are a Tiki themed steakhouse famous for our thick steaks and tropical drinks. We are fortunate to have a very loyal following and we know that our staff is a huge reason why. Come join our team!

Candidates should have welcoming personality with the ability to remain calm, positive, and organized during our dinner rush.

Multitasking skills are necessary, as duties include greeting and seating guests, answering phones, taking reservations via phone and Resy tablet, ability to answer guest questions about menus, provide driving directions if necessary, deal with customer issues or complaints, manage take-out orders (Postmates/UberEats), scan dining room to alert servers if they are needed by a customer, assist with bussing tables if necessary, and ensure host station, restrooms and bar area remain tidy during service.

Prior to dinner service, supervisor helps set up the dining area, confirms large reservations, move and level tables (must be able to lift approximately 40lbs) and print menus when needed. Ideally, candidates are familiar with a tablet-based reservation system. Currently we use Resy. Familiarity with Aloha POS also a big plus.

Must be able to open and close for dinner which includes counting the bank, assigning server and busser stations for the shift, and reconciling cash at the end of the shift.

Performs any other duties as requested by General Manager.

Some side work like arranging and wiping menus, clean up station, etc.

This position is part time with some overtime. This position requires someone who is extremely dependable and committed to the agreed upon schedule. We are a tight knit restaurant family with years and years of history and a relaxed atmosphere so finding the right person for this job is very important to us. Job growth potential as well.

Meals provided.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, grab, reach, stretch, lift and possibly carry heavy materials multiple times throughout the shift.
