Umi by Eden Restaurant Group is seeking a talented Sushi Chef to join our team. We are a team of professionals who have tons of experience working together and within the hospitality industry. Aiming for our food to be sleek, clean and impactful when it hits the guests table. Everything from our decor/design to our menu is chosen to have a great guest experience in mind. Lots of work and love has been poured into this project this far and we are seeking a few more key players to join our team!

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Strong knife skills and ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Responsibilities
Prepare and create a variety of sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety of all food served
Assist with menu planning and development of new sushi dishes
Provide excellent customer service by taking special requests and accommodating dietary restrictions.

Preferred Skills:
Culinary degree or certification
Experience working in sushi bar setting
Familiarity with Japanese cuisine and sushi techniques
Familiarity with food and labor costing
