Job Title: Barista
Reports to: Shift Lead
Classification: Full Time, hourly pay (3-4 days a week/ 22-30hrs)
Starting wage: $17.28/hour + gratuity (estimated $8-$10/hr)

Civil is a Los Angeles homegrown Roasting Company and Cafe Brand. Our cafes are our home away from home, so we host like so. Good drinks, good eats, good music and good vibes. We pride ourselves on having a team that knows how to work hard and play just as much when the moment calls for it. On the daily you'll hustle in a dynamic cafe team role. You'll dial in complex espresso, craft delicious specialty beverages and enjoy delicious coffees sourced and roasted by your team. Amongst other duties, you'll serve drinks and food, discuss offerings and menu's with guests, keeping the cafe presentable. Must enjoy drinking coffee and a positive connection to it!

On a given day you may be required, but not limited to:
- Greet customers, take orders and help answer questions about the menu
- Dial in espresso to company standards and pulling espresso during service.
- Steam milk and pour latte art.
- Prep drink products to support daily ops
- Open the store and ensure team is ready to take on the day's service.
- Prep beverage pars, syrups, teas amongst others
- Close the store and ensure it receives daily maintenance for a clean and safe work environment.
- Speak knowledgeably of company product to suggest offerings
- Be able to work under in fast paced environment.
- Lift up to 40lbs
- Go up and down ladders to move dry goods
