My client is a Property Intelligence Platform that empowers insurers by providing insight and workflow tools. This innovative company is looking for a Senior DevOps engineer that is well versed in Google Cloud Platform, backend Python development, Kubernetes microservice architecture, and SDLC is a plus! Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years experience in information technology as well as experience in either DevOps or software engineering
  • Expertise with Unix shell scripting is a must
  • Proficiency with containers and container orchestration systems is a must
  • Development experience is a must (NodeJS, Python, or similar)
  • Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Github Actions, Travis CI, Codefresh, Jenkins) is a must
  • Some experience with, and willingness to take on, a variety of security tasks such as SOC2, client audits, vulnerability/penetration testing, various internal audits, etc.
  • Proficient SQL skills a plus (ability to perform basic CRUD operations)
  • Experience working with highly distributed, cloud-based systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) is a plus
What You Will Be Doing
  • Building and maintaining the CI/CD processes for systems.
  • Building and maintaining the internal development toolset.
  • Assisting the product development team with tasks related to the SDLC.
  • Automating repetitive processes in a reliable and consistent manner.
  • Identifying opportunities for improving baseline performance and implementing the necessary changes to achieve those improvements.
  • Keeping a consistent understanding of new features being deployed and how they are being monitored for use.
  • Assisting in projects related to bringing on new vendors and evaluating existing ones.
  • Having a deep understanding of how the system scales and if it is operating efficiently.
  • Conducting internal audits for compliance, including, but not limited to, user access levels, continuity plans, and site access.
  • Managing the annual SOC2 process, client audits, and the vulnerability and penetration testing.
