Oversees the day-to-day product inventory operations for designated peri-operative areas
Collaborates with medical and nursing staff and all areas of Support Services including (but not limited to) Central Issues, Purchasing, Warehouse, Receiving, Billing, Processing, Clinical Engineering and information Systems
Responsible for inventory functions and product and/or accounting discrepancies as a result of those functions
Provides daily operational analysis through maintenance of automated information systems
Forecasts inventory utilization based on standard acceptable par levels. Recommends inventory consumption control measures
Responsible for determining usage, lead time, safety stock, MIN and MAX quantity for all inventory as assigned
QualificationsEducation:
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate's degree preferred
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Materials Management, Shipping/Receiving/Distribution required
Hospital inventory experience preferred
Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheet applications required
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds required
