Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Para Educator. The Paraprofessional/Educator is an individual who works with students requiring generalized assistance to meet their behavioral and instructional needs, under the direct supervision of school professionals or other behavioral specialists. General Information: · Monday – Friday · Typically 8:00am – 3:00pm · Pay Rate: $18+ DOE (Weekly Pay) · Per Diem opportunities also available! Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follows through with IEP objectives at the direction of school professionals
Supervises and assists students
Communicates pertinent information to teachers and can assist with generalized classroom duties
Documents session per policy and procedures. Strictly adheres to confidentiality requirements
Assists with activities of prescribed programs
Assists students in the development of independent skills through self-care activities such as toileting, clothing routines and personal hygiene
Assists Behavioral Specialist or Teacher with implementation of behavior management techniques
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Current CPR certification
Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (as applicable per state and/or client requirement)
Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills
Computer proficiency required
Successful completion of background screening and onboarding process
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Crisis Prevention Training (as applicable per state and/or client requirement)
Certificate and/or Associate Degree from an accredited Para Educator Training Program (as applicable per state and/or client requirement)
