The work will be challenging, but always rewarding.It’s Work That Matters.OverviewPurpose Statement/Position Summary:The Director of IDS is the recognized leader in understanding, interpreting, and creatively innovating care delivery models in pediatric health care that are aligned with best practices and market trends.The Director develops and implements innovative care delivery models and services that align with best practices and extend beyond CHLA’s traditional hospital-based specialty care services.With changing healthcare environments, specifically Medi-Cal reimbursement and a focus on value-based care delivery, this position helps support leading efforts to rethink how to best integrate care continuum programming within a pediatric healthcare delivery system that aligns with new reimbursement models.The Director has responsibility for driving design, optimization, and improvement of IDS programs and services. The Director ensures standards meet regulatory requirements and organizational policies.The Director will collaborate with enterprise leaders to design, implement, evaluate, and improve integrated pediatric models, deploying methods and strategies to maintain and improve the compliance of service delivery.The Director is also responsible for managing relationships with external provider groups as it relates to the portfolio of IDS projects, identifying and developing opportunities for partnership and growth.In partnership with the Chief Integrated Delivery Systems Officer, the Director's responsibility will include providing systemic oversight of the implementation of integrated delivery models, including collaborating with the integrated delivery systems team and enterprise leaders, and completing duties as assigned by the Chief Integrated Delivery Systems Officer.This leader will work with a dynamic group of leaders in collaboration for systems change in CHLA’s & Integrated Delivery Systems work.Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:Required:

5 years of experience in Health Administration, Contract Management, Health Plan Operations, Care Management

Healthcare expertise and billing and collection experience.

Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Personnel management and business planning experience.

Understanding of insurance billing and collection requirements required.

Proficiency in using PC-based spreadsheet and word processing applications required.

Preferred:

8 years of general management experience in a healthcare service environment, physician practice management company, or healthcare management service organization.

Titles and Number of Employees Supervised: Ambulatory Administrator, Project ManagerWorking Conditions/Physical Demands: Office-based.

Must work constantly with administrators, physicians, office managers, and employees.

Perform critical work under deadlines.

Equipment/Machines Used: Computer and printers, MS Excel for spreadsheets, Telephone & Fax systems, File systems, MS Word for correspondence, Typewriter, Copy Machine.Education/Licensure/Certification:Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a Graduate degree in healthcare administration or business administration required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Knowledge of the principles and practices of health planning and management sufficient to manage, direct and coordinate the operation of a major health care division.

Knowledge of health care administration and clinic philosophy and policies and operating procedures. Knowledge of fiscal management systems and techniques, human resource management practices including supervision and staff development.

Knowledge of governmental regulations and reimbursement requirements, computer systems and applications.

Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving, decision- making.

Pay Scale Information$137,072.00-$246,854.00CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
