Description Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description:We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.Responsibilities:
Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable data.
Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts payable status.
Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payments, and financial paperwork.
Prepare checks for payments and ensure timely disbursement.
Participate in annual audits, as needed.
Assist with other accounting projects in the office as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness.
Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and accounting software. Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar software would be a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work closely with a team and deliver results on deadlines.
BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent experience. Requirements Accounts Payable (AP)
