Project Manager, Architecture Consultant (Remote)
Aedifi Architecture is a small independent architecture firm specializing in the design of custom homes utilizing prefabricated construction methods. Our workload has recently increased, and we are seeking 2-3 Project Managers with relevant experience who are interested in helping to rebuild residential neighborhoods impacted by the recent fires in the Los Angeles area.
In this position, you will work collaboratively with the design-driven team, coordinating the work of outside stake holders and consultants from schematic design through construction. The right candidates for this role will have a strong foundation in residential architecture, the independent initiative to get things done, and take great pride in their work. Seeking problem solvers who possess exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in the pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement.
These are fully remote positions. Candidates will work from their own office on a per-project basis.
Essential Responsibilities:
Manage and produce accurate construction documents and provide architectural coordination, collaborating with external stake holders from schematic design through construction administration.
Work with City Officials to resolve city plan check comments, obtain building permits, and
coordinate consultant responses for efficient turnaround.
Collaborate with superintendents to facilitate construction by resolving field issues and providing
effective design and detailing solutions.
Plan check to ensure quality of plan sets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field. Architectural registration is not required.
8+ years of residential architectural experience.
Design experience using prefabricated building elements.
Strong understanding of construction documentation, design process, A/E industry drawing
conventions and standards and building systems.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp or other 3D rendering software.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Experience with Fire-rebuild projects in the Los Angeles area.
