Job DetailsThe Senior DevOps Engineer will be someone who can execute the entire process end-to-end supporting DevOps across a myriad of platforms including GCS and AWS as well as in house data center operations.Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for execution of all responsibilities in an Agile working environment
  • Hands-on application and service configuration
  • Solve challenging issues in the production environment by reviewing logs and engaging software engineers as needed
  • Implement and document the best practices in CI/CD toolset
  • Participate in documenting incidents and performing Root Causes Analysis
  • Continuously improve software and environment delivery with strong automation skills and working closely with the development and engineering teams
  • Contribute to the overall automation of application, database, and service deployment automation
  • Review and assess the risk of changes throughout the release process and ensure quality, while automating Build & Release functions in pre-production, and production environments
  • Familiar with application performance monitoring, security event monitoring, and alerting
  • Work through a Scrum backlog and report constant progress and blocking issues
Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud computing concepts and best practices for operating and managing public cloud (Google Cloud Platform is highly desirable, AWS/Azure may be acceptable)
  • Recent experience in migrating workloads to Kubernetes from on-prem and between clouds (e.g: AWS to GCP)
  • Recent experience with infrastructure as code automation with Terraform Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines Experience with containerized environments with Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience in packaging and deploying applications on Kubernetes using Helm charts and Kustomize
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing multiple cloud resources such as VPC, firewall, storage, virtual machines, secret manager, IAM, Kubernetes engine (GKE, RKE, EKS), and etc.
  • Strong experience working with Linux and/or Windows environments, with experience supporting troubleshooting and deploying Java, .NET, or NodeJS application
  • 3-5 years of experience in the following technologies and toolsets:
+Scripting language like Bash, Python, PowerShell, or other similar languages+Docker, Helm Charts, Kustomize+Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or similar tools+Cloud Build, Jenkins, or similar tools+Cloud Load Balancer, Ingress Controllers, Nginx, Apache, and Tomcat+Monitoring tools like New Relic, Prometheus, or similar+Git (GitHub, BitBucket, or similar)+Jira and Confluence NICE TO HAVES:
  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • Experience working in geographically distributed teams
  • Experience in clustering services/servers using Windows Cluster, HAProxy, Keepalived, or similar tools is a plus
  • Experience in TCP/IP networking, architecture, core technologies (DNS, routing, iptables, etc.), and general network security best practices
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as PCI, NIST, and OWASP is highly desirable
