Little Acorns Grow is currently accepting applications for an Infant & Toddler, Preschool, and Elementary Teacher Assistant. The Teacher will be responsible for providing a nurturing and safe setting for their students. This position will develop and implement age-appropriate programs and activities, provide guidance to support the physical, mental, and emotional development of the children, and create a positive learning environment.
Teacher Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide an environment that is safe, positive, nurturing, and respectful of the children
· Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
· Observe and assess the development of the children
· Develop and implement behavior management strategies
· Participate in parent-teacher conferences
· Maintain proper records, including documenting observations and milestones
· Ensure all safety regulations are followed
· Maintain a clean and organized classroom
· Model appropriate behaviors for children
· Relate effectively with children and families in relation to cultural, social and economic background.
· Work with a team of teachers to ensure a cohesive and quality learning environment
Qualifications:
· Twelve (12) Units in Early Childhood Education
· Three (3) Units in Infant and Toddler Education
· CPR and First Aid certification
· Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related field
· Possess a teamwork mindset, strong communication skills, organization skills and problem-solving ability
· Ability to build rapport with children, families and peers
