SUMMARY FOR TAX TEAM

Our clients consulting practice provides their clients with valuable insight regarding managing risk and improving business performance. They assist their clients with improving their internal accounting policies and procedures and overall financial reporting processes. Their goal is to help their clients better understand their business by keeping them regularly informed about their financial progress by discussing accounting, financial, and regulatory developments that may impact their business

We are looking for 7 separate positions.

Experienced Tax Staff: 1-2 years experience in public accounting

Tax Senior: 2-5 years experience in public accounting

Tax Manager: 4 years experience, CPA required

Tax Senior Manager: 6 -7 years experience, CPA required

Indirect Tax Staff: 1-2 years experience in tax compliance

Indirect Tax Senior: 3 years experience

Indirect Tax Manager: 6 years experience

SUMMARY FOR EXPERIENCED TAX STAFF

As a Tax Staff, your primary responsibilities will consist of tax consulting and tax return preparation duties, including tax research, tax planning, and the preparation of supporting work papers for various tax returns and tax related projects. You will work with a variety of entities such as corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and non-profits. In addition, you will be exposed to a variety of industries including real estate, consumer industrial products, service based companies, and not-for-profits. You will work closely with seniors, managers, and partners on all phases of the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrate an understanding of professional standards and the importance of regulatory responsibilities. Ability to apply basic areas of GAAP and GAAS, as necessary, and to research technical issues that arise during the course of audit engagements

Ability to prepare accurate supporting work paper documentation, including validating and testing substantive support and analytical reviews of account balances

Assist Assurance Seniors in preparing risk assessments, audit programs and evaluating the client’s internal control structure

Preparing financial statements with disclosures for management review

Coaches new staff by providing candid and constructive verbal feedback

Demonstrates behaviors such as teamwork, knowledge sharing and maintaining relationships

An Experienced Assurance Staff will also be involved in reviews, compilations and agreed-upon procedure engagements

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required

1-2 years of prior experience in public accounting

CPA certification preferred; eligible to sit for the CPA exams upon starting employment required and actively pursuing completion of the exams required

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full- time basis upon hire

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, especially Excel)

QuickBooks and ProSystems experience is a plus

High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management

Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently and within a group environment

Capable of working in a demanding, deadline driven environment with a focus on the details and accuracy

Salary: $85,000 - $100,000

SUMMARY FOR TAX SENIOR

As a Tax Senior, your primary responsibilities will consist of tax consulting and tax return preparation duties, including tax research, tax planning, and the preparation of supporting work papers for various tax returns and tax related projects. RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare & review tax returns for pass-through entities, C- corporations, trusts, and high-net worth individuals

Assure compliance with federal, state and local tax laws and regulations

Conduct research and planning to resolve client issues according to applicable tax laws and regulations

Basic understanding of U.S. tax laws as it relates to ownership of foreign entities by a U.S. person.

Minimize tax liability through sound and informed application of laws and regulations

Provide assistance during tax audits

Respond to notices from tax authorities

Direct client contact involving income tax matters, transactional consulting, tax research, and compliance.

Ability to anticipate client questions and is prepared to respond with practical solutions than can be implemented

Advise, guide, coach and provide encouragement to team members

Train & manage staff

Assign work to preparers and follow up on their progress

Complete assigned projects in a timely manner and keep supervisors apprised of job status

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

SUMMARY FOR TAX MANAGER

As a Tax Manager, you will work directly with clients to develop and sustain excellent relationships. Tax Managers advise clients on a full spectrum of individual, partnership, corporate, and trust and estate tax services. Participation in the calculation and analysis of proprietary tax strategies for clients are among their responsibilities. Tax managers will be responsible for scheduling & managing workflow with staff & seniors as well as providing timely & constructive feedback. We ensure that our tax personnel keep up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law and have the ability to provide our clients with in depth industry knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviews work on client engagements to ensure firm’s quality control procedures are followed.

Informs partners of progress on engagements on a continuous basis. Identifies technical issues and brings recommended solutions to partner’s attention for timely action.

Provides training, leadership, recognition, and administrative direction to motivate and develop team members.

Strong understanding of U.S. tax laws as it relates to ownership of foreign entities by a U.S. person.

Completes performance reviews and provides timely / constructive feedback.

Understands the economics of the firm’s practice. Has direct client billing responsibility.

Supports management with decisions pertaining to policies and procedures and brings that support to the team.

Accepts other administrative and supervisory responsibilities, including recruiting and leading professional development conferences as required.

Ability to mentor and train staff / seniors.

Stays current on technical and regulatory issues.

Assist in any other tasks as requested.

As a Tax Senior Manager, you will be expected to enhance client relationships through communication & delivery of value added services. Tax Senior Managers will be expected to develop strong practice & development skills through various professional

networking activities. You will be expected to demonstrate a positive attitude toward the Firm and act as a role model to others. Tax Senior Managers will be responsible for overall management of workflow within the tax department.
