Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team at Premier Auto Credit HQ. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial records, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, balance sheets, and account reconciliations. You will also be responsible for analyzing financial data and preparing reports to support decision-making.

This role reports to the Manager of Accounting and will be part of the finance department.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records

Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts

Post and pay bills, and monitor recurring bills

Review & finalize time and attendance for payroll processing

Review & analyze Vendor/Customer activity

Assist in 1099 & Unclaimed Property reporting

Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support decision-making

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations

Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities:

As a Staff Accountant, you will use your expertise in Bank Reconciliation, Accounting Principles, Journal Entries, Balance Sheet, Account Reconciliation, Account Analytical, Other Accounting, General Ledger, and Job Costing to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our financial records.

You will also use your strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze financial data and prepare reports to support decision-making.

Your ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will be critical to your success in this role.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

2+ years of experience in accounting or finance

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
