We are a staffing agency searching for a Temp/Temp to Hire position as a Payroll Accountant for our client, a top entertainment company. This is an in-person role and candidates must be local to Los Angeles and have ADP Workforce or similar experience.
Essential duties & responsibilities include but not limited to:
-Processes payroll using ADP Workforce
-Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
-Reviews and verifies hours worked, PTO, deductions, and pay adjustments.
-Enters and updates data in ADP.
-Provides information to employees and managers on payroll matters and tax issues.
-Responds to audit requests by providing records and documents as needed
-Ensures all taxes are reconciled, processed, and paid in a timely manner.
-Processes quarterly and year end reports
-Keeps informed about changes applicable laws that relate to the payroll process.
-Supports Benefit Administrator
-Performs other duties assigned as needed
Requirements and skills:
-A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related major
-5 year's experience as a Payroll Accountant or similar
-Experience with ADP Workforce or similar
-Knowledge of applicable tax laws
-Ability to maintain and update employees' payroll files
-Superior organizational and communication skills
-A team-player
-Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
-Ability to maintaining confidential information
-FPC or CPP is a plus
-MS Office
Salary:
Up to $38.50/hour DOE as a Temp
If the role turns into a Direct Hire, Salary becomes $75K and great benefits!
